Every month I like to highlight an access tool, this month it is called interesting point of view. This sounds pretty simple and basic and it is life-changing. So for those of you reading this make sure to post your questions or comments below, I will be happy to answer them. Also please keep in mind what interesting point of view means and where I use this in my business, my money my bank account and everything really. Interesting point of view is the principle that everything, EVERYTHING is just a point of view. For folks who really love to be right about everything, and I have been three, this could be a challenging concept for you.
Months ago I posted something on Facebook that had a group of women attacking me, I say attack, which might be a little bit of a strong word, but there were hundreds of comments that I was being insensitive and all of these other mean things. I was like well where did this come from, it was just a simple, honestly harmless comment. I learned a lot from it and one of the things that got me through and not just completely curling up in a ball, screaming I can’t be visible ever again was, what an interesting point of view I have. This point of view I have of how they were responding to me, and the other place I used it was interesting point of view that they have. Not from a place of writing it off, but a genuine curiosity, like wow this is some feedback. With feedback, it doesn’t mean it is true it doesn’t mean you have to take it on, it just what it is, it is just an interesting point of view.
What’s so fascinating about this concept is in a world where we make our points of view solid and right, I mean think about politics, think about religion, and think about how we can generate the future that we want to create when we take the charge out of ours and other’s points of view. Where could we use this tool, instead of judging all the things that we’ve judged, we just flip it and apply it. Wow interesting point of view, like how much more love and appreciation can we have for ourselves, how much more joy can we experience, how much more money can we receive and generate in our businesses when we shift that judgment.
This I think is the number one reason why I love this tool, is it’s a really easy tool to shift out of judgment and into possibility. One of my favorite ways to use this is, whatever the target is that I’m creating, I write out the list of all the reasons I can and all the reasons I can’t, all the reasons it won’t work out and all the all the bullshit surrounding it. I might have hundreds of things on my list and I go through each one of them and just say to myself, interesting point of view, this is such an interesting point of view. When I say that over and over and over again, I go from judgment and resistance into possibility instantly. I also like to pair it with the clearing statements and then the charge around it is neutralized and then I can look at that target and say, yah I totally got it, because I no longer have these points of view that are in my way.
I love, love, love how it shifts the judgment into a possibility. How many times are we aligning and agreeing with something or defending against something, but we are not consciously choosing? So it is not about sticking our head in the sand around things that you would like to see changed, what it does it creates the space for a different possibility to show up. Where we create that space you can consciously choose how you are going to contribute to that change.
Wow what an interesting point of view I have and all of this is just an interesting point of view. So use it or don’t use it, really whatever works for you. Definitely try it, I encourage you to play with this tool. It is fascinating what can change in your life, your business, your bank account and your world. Because it is all just an interesting point of view.

00:00
alchemy welcome and happy Friday for
00:02
those of you in the US and North America
00:04
and happy Saturday I’m super early
00:07
morning Australia New Zealand so I’m
00:10
every month I like to do an access tool
00:13
of the month and this tool is called
00:16
interesting point of view which sounds
00:18
pretty simple and basic and it is
00:20
life-changing and so for those of you
00:22
watching the recording make sure that
00:24
you post your questions in a comment
00:26
below and tag me in it so that I can see
00:27
that question I’m happy to answer
00:29
questions during this live live stream
00:32
and also when you guys are watching the
00:35
recording so what does interesting point
00:37
of view mean so here’s what it is and
00:39
this is where I use this in my business
00:40
my money my bank account with everything
00:43
is it’s really the principle that
00:45
everything everything is just a point of
00:47
view everything is just a point of view
00:50
and for folks who really love to be
00:54
right about everything and I’ve been
00:56
there you know that’s that could be a
00:59
challenging a challenging concept you
01:02
know because think about this reality is
01:04
that we are paid to be the expert we’re
01:06
paid to be right repeat to know
01:08
everything we’re paid like that’s this
01:10
reality when the truth of it is is not
01:12
that but everything is just an
01:14
interesting point of view and so one of
01:16
the cool ways of how to use this I’ll
01:18
give you a couple scenarios both
01:19
personally with your body with your
01:22
business your bank account like all the
01:24
things that you’re creating so let’s
01:25
just say that you’re having a comment I
01:29
says who feels like I’m stalking you
01:30
yeah we’ve had a meeting this morning
01:32
of other things so I love it I adore you
01:35
so you you’re welcome to stock meet I so
01:39
let’s just maybe you’re having a
01:40
conversation with someone and they might
01:43
be you know might be challenging might
01:44
be turning into an argument so this
01:46
could be really great in a marriage with
01:48
a child especially I’ve actually done
01:50
this with a two-year-old I’ve done this
01:52
with my five-year-old niece and so when
01:55
you’re being met with resistance then in
01:57
your mind it’s my experience has been
02:00
it’s more helpful to use this in your
02:01
mind not out loud you can just say
02:04
interesting point of view that I have
02:06
this point of view so notice that it’s
02:08
wherever you’re reacting it’s really
02:11
helpful especially when you’re reading
02:13
stuff not especially I’m just using it
02:15
you know that that word because this is
02:17
where I use it a lot is on Facebook when
02:20
I’m seeing things that really trigger me
02:22
that really upset me and using
02:26
interesting point of view is not about
02:28
oh well everything’s just appointed you
02:29
so I don’t have to act I don’t have to
02:31
change anything I can just accept
02:33
whatever but what it does is it takes
02:35
the charge out of it
02:36
and so I’ll just use the example when I
02:39
use it with my two-year-old nephew um so
02:41
he’s not he’s almost to see he’s you
02:44
know throwing a tantrum he’s
02:45
jibber-jabbering he doesn’t communicate
02:46
with words and just a lot of sounds and
02:48
maybe throwing himself on the floor and
02:50
he doesn’t get his own way and so rather
02:52
than reacting and responding to it which
02:54
makes the conflict real which solidifies
02:57
all the tension right I can actually
03:00
just be an observer and I don’t do this
03:02
well all the time I’m just gonna preface
03:04
it with that and I can just be saying to
03:06
myself of interesting point of view I
03:08
have the point of view that I want to
03:10
like you know freak out or I want to
03:12
react or I want to raise my voice or I
03:14
would like just take a pause take a
03:17
breath interesting point of view the
03:18
other place that I use this is when
03:20
people are projecting their stuff onto
03:23
me and so it was several months ago I
03:27
posted something on Facebook that had a
03:30
group of women attack like I’ll say
03:33
attack thing that might be a little bit
03:34
bit of a strong word but there were
03:35
hundreds of comments that I was being
03:37
insensitive all these other things that
03:40
I was like well where did this come from
03:41
like it was just a simple comment I
03:43
learned a lot from it but one of the
03:46
things that got me through not just
03:48
completely curling up in a ball and just
03:50
like I can’t be visible ever again was
03:53
interesting point of view I have this
03:55
point you of you of how they were
03:56
responding to me then the other place I
03:59
used it was interesting point of view
04:00
that they have this point of view but
04:02
not from oh my gosh they just have this
04:04
point of view and writing it off but
04:06
just going huh like and with with
04:09
genuine curiosity with genuine like wow
04:12
this is some feedback and feedback it
04:14
doesn’t mean it’s true it doesn’t mean
04:16
you have to take it on is just is what
04:17
it is just like interesting point of
04:19
view they have this point of view
04:20
because everything is just a point of
04:22
view and what’s so fascinating about
04:24
this concept is in a world
04:26
where we make our points of view solid
04:29
and right I mean think about politics
04:32
think about religion think about like I
04:34
was actually in a at a dinner last night
04:37
and so this is another place where you
04:38
can use it is when the conversation is
04:41
happening just a simple conversation but
04:42
the conversation was well I have six
04:45
years this is what someone else at the
04:47
dinner table was saying if six years to
04:50
essentially buy a house that has a 15
04:52
year mortgage so then I can have it paid
04:54
off by the time I’m 65 so then I can
04:57
actually retire and I was like wow this
05:00
conversation one feels heavy
05:02
so everything that just feels heavy like
05:04
this computer really great tool to use
05:06
so in my mind I’m just like wow
05:07
interesting point of view interesting
05:09
point of view instead of taking it on
05:11
and going oh my god I only have six
05:13
years and I’ve got to do this same
05:15
formula that they were applying to their
05:17
life of the way to be successful right
05:19
and what was interesting about this is
05:21
hours before I did an interview with
05:24
Miguel Gomez he’s a part of this group
05:26
and we were actually talking about
05:27
different strategies that entrepreneurs
05:30
can use of how to quote retire and
05:32
actually kind of the charge around that
05:34
word itself so it was just interesting
05:37
so interesting point of view that you
05:39
don’t have to retire interesting point
05:40
of view that the only way to do it is
05:42
this way you know and when you’re
05:44
working with a coach let’s just use it
05:46
like with a coach like the way to build
05:47
your list is blah blah blah blah blah
05:49
like whatever that XYZ formula is so if
05:53
you were to sit there and just be like
05:54
huh interesting point of view and then
05:56
ask some questions around it what’s true
06:00
for me what’s aligned for me what’s
06:02
light for me what will actually create
06:04
generate you know the future that I
06:07
would like and so when we have this
06:10
instead of this instant reaction which I
06:14
mean look just look through Facebook
06:15
especially the online arguments which
06:17
are so completely a my interesting point
06:19
of view completely pointless like just
06:23
look for that it’s just like what if we
06:25
could just pause for just a half a
06:27
moment and just interesting point of
06:30
view it’s an interesting point of view
06:33
everything is an interesting point of
06:35
view and so you can take this into
06:37
heavier topics
06:39
where we’ve experienced abuse you know
06:43
narcissism like when you actually just
06:45
observe any relationship that you’re in
06:47
and what they say what they do how they
06:49
act what they choose as just an
06:51
interesting point of view it’s just
06:52
something it just is what it is like we
06:55
don’t have to make it personal anymore
06:57
so let me actually go to sorry comments
07:02
and see if there’s anything here awesome
07:04
yes Barbara says it’s the power of the
07:06
pause absolutely absolutely
07:08
and so a couple of other ways that I use
07:11
this is when you’ve got your shit that
07:14
comes up about you your business money
07:17
and about somebody else and so when you
07:20
let’s just everyone take a moment and
07:21
what is a monthly money target that
07:23
you’d like to have or money that you’d
07:25
like to generate in the next thirty days
07:26
so I’m just going to use the example of
07:28
ten thousand dollars because that’s easy
07:29
math so interesting point of view that
07:32
I’d like to generate ten thousand
07:34
dollars and then when you start going
07:36
into well what am I going to do to
07:38
create that and when you start looking
07:40
at all your points of view that come up
07:42
about how you have to do it why you
07:45
should do it why you can’t do it why you
07:47
shouldn’t why it’s not going to work so
07:49
when you start to actually take an
07:51
inventory of all the beliefs all the
07:53
points of view that you have about
07:55
yourself all the judgments you have
07:57
about yourself what if you just applied
08:00
that Wow interesting point of view that
08:02
I think it’s not going to work
08:03
interesting point of view that I think
08:05
I’m going to have to work really hard in
08:07
order to create a seven think your
08:09
business interesting point of view that
08:11
you know whatever it is so just notice
08:13
your reactions notice the judgments that
08:16
you have about yourself and most of the
08:18
things that we think are judgments of
08:21
ourselves like it’s just a judgement
08:23
it’s not even real it’s it’s you know
08:25
we’re adopting somebody else’s point of
08:27
view perhaps but when we just apply like
08:29
home and so when you make the list of
08:31
all the shirts all the shouldn’ts all
08:33
the why it will work why it won’t work
08:35
every single thing that you clear for
08:39
those of you use the clearance statement
08:40
it’s just a point of view like in order
08:44
to build my email list I have to do XYZ
08:46
interesting point of view so what really
08:49
works for me what would be fun what
08:51
actually generates what the
08:52
go into more question when you bypass
08:55
the interesting point of view so andrey
09:00
says like yesterday gap then not making
09:03
yourself wrong when you have to turn
09:04
around from going down the rabbit hole
09:06
absolutely
09:08
so that’s the nether piste who is like
09:10
so this last weekend I just did a
09:11
Facebook live with Lenise use where
09:13
where he talked about it came back from
09:15
this amazing Costa Rica retreat like it
09:17
was so blissful and came back and I just
09:20
was in this funk for like two days and I
09:21
don’t like that’s not my reality anymore
09:23
it used to be all the time
09:25
but I was in this funk and I was it was
09:27
I was worrying and I was overwhelmed and
09:29
everything just felt hard and like I was
09:31
like god this is just not the easy magic
09:33
that I’ve really set out to create my
09:35
life to be what is this and I was
09:37
spinning into how is this going to work
09:39
how is all this going to to work out and
09:42
I was asking for some really big and
09:44
still am asking for some really big
09:45
stuff and so I went into the how and I
09:47
went in this rabbit hole just as Andrey
09:49
talked about like it’s just spinning in
09:53
it and then when I’m spinning in it I
09:55
feel like I’m like I don’t know what
09:57
question to ask the only question I can
09:59
think of to change the energy is what
10:01
else is possible and that’s it and so
10:03
this is also where if you forget that
10:06
everything is just an interesting point
10:08
of view like look at your you know look
10:10
at a part of your body they’re like wow
10:12
I’m not really happy with that
10:13
interesting point of view like so where
10:17
could we use this tool and instead of
10:19
judging all the things that we’ve judged
10:22
we just flip that and we apply that Wow
10:26
interesting point of view like how much
10:28
more love and appreciation can we have
10:30
for ourselves how much more joy can we
10:33
experience how much more money can we
10:35
receive and create generate and our
10:37
businesses when we shift that judgment
10:40
this is I think the plaids stay like the
10:42
number one reason why I love this tool
10:44
is it’s a really easy tool to shift out
10:47
of judgment and into possibility and so
10:51
one of my favorite ways to use this is
10:53
whatever the target is that I’m creating
10:54
I write out the list of all the reasons
10:57
I can and all the reasons I can’t all
10:59
the reasons I won’t work out and all the
11:01
all the bullshit all of it and all the
11:04
like well if I do this then
11:06
have this and everything just write it
11:08
all out all the reasons justifications
11:10
strategies blah blah blah blah blah
11:13
right or now it might be hundreds of
11:14
things and go through each one of them
11:16
and just say to yourself interesting
11:19
point of view interest this is such an
11:21
interesting point of view and when you
11:23
say that over and over and over again I
11:25
also like to pair it with the clearing
11:27
statement and then the charge around it
11:30
it just neutralizes and then when they
11:32
can look at that target go yeah I can
11:35
totally create that because I no longer
11:36
have these points of view that are in my
11:38
way and so that’s just one of the ways
11:41
that I use this but it’s I love I love
11:44
how it shifts the judgment into a
11:46
possibility like wow interesting point
11:48
of view that my thighs are touching like
11:50
and that’s a bad thing
11:51
right interesting point of view that
11:53
like I have gray hair and oh my gosh I’m
11:55
getting old like all the stuff that we
11:58
use us proof of what is is still just an
12:00
interesting point of view and so I want
12:02
to go back to the dinner table
12:04
conversation about this retirement
12:05
conversation but when you’re in
12:07
conversation with people who are very
12:09
linear and very rigid of like this is
12:11
just what you do to be happy to be
12:12
successful it could be around you have
12:14
to go to college and get a degree you
12:16
have to be a member of this religion you
12:18
have to get a job you know and work that
12:20
job for 40 years and then you can retire
12:22
like all those all the linear things
12:25
that this world a lot of this world
12:26
operates on and when you’re in those
12:29
conversations if you just say to
12:31
yourself wow interesting playing with
12:32
you that they have this point of view
12:34
again this is something they make just
12:37
spotted say in your mind because people
12:39
often can’t receive this because right
12:41
they want to be right you know and in
12:43
their point of view they are right and
12:46
so like how can you argue what’s right
12:48
or wrong it’s like in someone’s point of
12:49
view they are right and you’re wrong so
12:52
so let me just see if there are any
12:54
other questions here I don’t think there
12:56
are but use this tool or don’t use it I
13:02
think you might want to try it out so
13:05
you can change the energy of the things
13:07
that are not changeable and use this in
13:10
the gaunt you know in your mind when
13:11
you’re watching the news when you’re
13:12
seeing stuff go down on Facebook it’s
13:15
also a really great tool to use why
13:18
in my past and I still struggle with
13:21
this sometimes like so the shooting that
13:22
recently happened at the Florida high
13:24
school and so all the points of view
13:27
that are being projected about gun
13:28
control about this about bullying about
13:30
like all the stuff and it’s again not
13:32
about sticking your head in the sand
13:33
it’s about taking the charge out of it
13:36
so you’re not instantly reacting of what
13:37
I should do and if I’m a good person I
13:39
should do this if I’m a good person if
13:41
I’m an activist
13:42
then I should there are a lot of shoulds
13:44
out there and so we can actually just
13:46
take a pause it’s like wow interesting
13:48
point of view that gun control could be
13:50
a part of a solution interesting point
13:52
of view that whatever it’s all just an
13:56
interesting point of view and so when
13:57
you can neutralize that instant reaction
13:59
and you have to immediately either align
14:01
it agree with something or defend
14:03
against something then you actually have
14:05
the space to consciously choose how do I
14:07
want to share my voice in the causes
14:10
that are important to me how can I be a
14:12
contribution what would actually
14:14
generate a change here rather than by
14:18
default I have to align and agree with
14:20
something or I have to defend against
14:21
something to prove that I’m an activist
14:25
or to prove that this is important to me
14:26
or to prove that this is a problem like
14:28
what if everything and this is where I
14:31
think people have the hardest time with
14:33
that I know I have sometimes like
14:35
everything is just a point of view
14:37
everything the sky is blue is just a
14:39
point of view you know a child abuse is
14:43
wrong it’s just a point of view now I
14:45
definitely have some points of view
14:46
about no I do believe that child abuse
14:48
is wrong but how many times are
14:50
realigning and agreeing with something
14:52
or defending against something for not
14:54
consciously choosing so it’s not again
14:57
not saying that you’re gonna stick your
14:58
head in the sand around things that
14:59
you’d like to see changed on our planets
15:01
but what it does do is it creates the
15:04
space of a different possibility to show
15:06
up and where we create the space then
15:10
you can consciously choose of how you’re
15:12
going to contribute or contributing to
15:15
that change so interesting point of view
15:17
and all this is just an interesting
15:20
point of view so use it don’t use it use
15:24
it sometimes like really whatever works
15:25
for you so Claire says yeah definitely
15:29
try to let go of the shutter like there
15:30
are a lot of shoulds out there
15:31
a lot of shoulds alright well thank you
15:34
so much for watching if you’ve got any
15:35
questions I encourage you to play with
15:38
this tool it is fascinating of what can
15:41
change in our bank accounts in our
15:44
relationships and our bodies oh this is
15:46
oh this is the other thing I was going
15:47
to say is apply the interesting point of
15:53
view before you eat anything like oh my
15:56
gosh and I noticed I was doing this oh I
15:58
don’t know want to do this all the time
15:59
something I’m actively working out of
16:01
like oh my gosh if I eat this sugar
16:03
before bedtime then I’m going to be
16:05
awake or whatever it is it’s like Wow
16:07
interesting point of view and our points
16:09
of view create our reality so it’s are
16:11
you going to go under the sink I’m like
16:13
wow I’m gonna drink Drano because I
16:14
don’t have an interesting point of view
16:16
about it’s like I’ve you know destroyed
16:18
and created all my points of view
16:19
probably not the wisest choice so use
16:22
your wisdom but before you eat anything
16:24
as you move your body as you exercise as
16:28
you walk as you explore nature as you
16:30
just take a breath of just like and the
16:32
other thing that I’ve done getting it
16:34
personal here in a second
16:36
is when I’m when someone is touching me
16:40
so when I’m getting my bars read when
16:41
I’m getting massaged so I had a massage
16:44
in Costa Rica and before I would be very
16:47
self-conscious like oh my gosh they’re
16:48
you know they’re on this part of my body
16:49
that I judged for most of my life and so
16:52
as I noticed that judgment show up then
16:54
I’m just running that statement
16:56
interesting point of view I have this
16:57
point of view interesting point of view
16:58
I have this funny of you you want to run
17:00
this during sex it’s amazing but it can
17:03
do with your relationship in your sex
17:05
life so that’s super fun so plate
17:08
everything apply it to like wow if I
17:10
want to make ten thousand dollars a
17:11
month I have to do XYZ interesting point
17:14
of view I wonder what else is possible
17:15
here like I wonder how else I could
17:18
actually have this money show up instead
17:20
of the default instead of the thing that
17:21
I know works but like what else is
17:24
possible here so talked about sex we
17:27
talked about politics religion I think
17:29
I’m done here
17:29
right so enjoy have fun with the tool
17:33
and I’ll see you guys next month for the
17:35
access tool of the month thanks for
17:37
watching live and for this view watch
17:39
replay thank you for watching bye
17:41
everybody
17:44
you
