When are you going to stop doing what you are good at, and start doing what you’re great at?
This was the question that got me to say no more often.
I’ve heard multiple times that successfully wealthy people say no, more often than they say yes.
And that intrigued me.
Why? I was saying yes, a lot. I was distracted. I had my hand in many pots. I was always working on something, but not making a whole lot of money.
One of the first things I said no to in business was closing my jewelry business. It was my first actual business. And while I loved it, I wasn’t great at it from a financial perspective.
As I said no to more things, I became more and more aligned with my zone of genius. And that is the place where the magic happens.
